- «I assume you've heard about the battle at Csaus between the Tahmie and Droc? […]»
«It sounds like the Bellicose was able to intervene before things got out of hand.» - ―Patriarch Clarr'ivl'exow and Captain Clarr'os'culry
Csaus was an astronomical object located in the territory of the Unknown Regions government named the Chiss Ascendancy.[1] The Chiss Space celestial body was situated in the Csaus system, within grid square F-9 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[2] In 18 BBY,[3] during a crisis in the Ascendancy, a battle was fought at Csaus between the Tahmie and Droc families, wherein Chiss Defense Force Admiral Ers'ikaro's Firewolf man-of-war Bellicose stopped the conflict before it could further escalate. Another conflict took place at Csaus late during the crisis.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, Csaus was first mentioned in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, the final volume of the Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy, written by Timothy Zahn.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Csaus was introduced in Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry's 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas.[4]
