The Crombach Nebula was a nebula located within the Belsmuth sector, between Botajef and Bandomeer, in the Outer Rim region of the galaxy.[1] The planet Irmenu was located in the fringes of the nebula, which contributed to its isolation from the rest of the galaxy.[2]
A navigational hazard for centuries, the Crombach Nebula was bridged by Freia Kallea in 3705 BBY when she linked the Mandalorian Road to the Sprizen End Run as part of her blazing of the Hydian Way.[3] During the Clone Wars, it was the site of the Battle of Crombach Nebula, in which the Jedi Master Wom-Nii Gnaden was killed.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Crombach Nebula was first mentioned in a 2005 reference book titled Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Incredible Cross-Sections, and the page mentioning the Crombach Nebula from the Cross Sections was reprinted in 2007's Star Wars: Complete Cross-Sections. In the following year, the Nebula was mentioned in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia. 2009's The Essential Atlas established the location of the Nebula on the Hydian Way and its relevance to galactic history.
