A small model of crablike maintenance droid, also known simply as a crab droid or crab-droid, was used aboard the pleasure liner Star of Empire to make repairs in difficult to reach locations. Scurrying around on several legs, it was equipped with large pincers and repair claws, as well as a cleansing gun that fired jets of acidic cleansing fluid from a tiny, back-mounted retractable spout.^[1]
