"Prana maintains a menagerie that rivals the Coruscant Zoo of old, but, provided his acquisitions meet the standards of culturally enriching acquisitions, they need not adhere to standard law."
―Exantor Divo mentions the Coruscant Zoo[1]

The Coruscant Zoo was an zoological institution located on the planet Coruscant. Following an attempt by bounty hunter Zam Wesell to assassinate Senator Padmé Amidala in 7955 C.R.C., the bisected remains of the two arthropods that had been used by Wesell in the attempt were sent to the zoo, where they were identified by myriapodologists as Indoumodo kouhuns. By 8011 C.R.C., the zoo no longer held the menagerie it once did, with the private menagerie of King Grevoth Prana IX said to rival the diversity that institution once held, according to Hosnian Prime police Commissioner Exantor Divo.[1]

Behind the scenes

Coruscant Zoo was first mentioned in the 2018 reference book Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
