A Corellian roach was a creature that was hard to kill^[1] and partially shared its name with the Core Worlds planet Corellia.^[2] Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,^[3] the archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra crashed the Tagge Corporation flagship Acquisitor into the Outer Rim planet Rocedila.^[4] Afterward, Tagge Corporation^[1] leader Lady^[4] Domina Tagge offered condolences to^[1] the smuggler^[2] Sana Starros, believing Aphra to have been killed. Once Starros informed^[1] rebel Captain^[5] Magna Tolvan of Tagge's belief, Tolvan compared Aphra to a Corellian roach, noting that if anyone was able to cheat death it was the archaeologist. Shortly after, Starros traveled to Rocedila and rescued Aphra, who was in fact alive.^[1]

Behind the scenes

A Corellian roach was mentioned in the fortieth and final issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. The issue was written by Alyssa Wong and published by Marvel Comics^[1] on January 31, 2024.^[6]
