Coralite was a substance that could be grown to produce structures on[1] the Outer Rim planet[2] Mon Cala. Structures made of the material functioned as a reeflike habitat for sea creatures. During the High Republic Era, the Jedi outpost on Mon Cala was grown out of coralite, which was intended to make the outpost fit with the its natural surroundings.[1] In 232 BBY,[3] Jedi Padawan Bell Zettifar—who was stationed at the Elphrona Outpost—thought about coralite and reflected he would have been happier being posted on Mon Cala due to the Outer Rim planet Elphrona's harsh environment.[1]
Behind the scenes
Coralite was mentioned in the 2021 novel The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, written by Charles Soule[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[4]
