"It does look like the coosta mice we've seen in the Temple garden."
―Kai Brightstar[1]

The coosta mouse was a type of mouse that roamed the Temple garden at the Jedi Temple on the forest planet Tenoo.[1] Around 233 BBY,[2] while on a trip to the planet Yamradi, the human Jedi youngling Kai Brightstar admired a group of small creatures known as chylaroos. He then compared them to the coosta mice because of their similar appearance.[1]

Behind the scenes

Coosta mice were mentioned in "Creature Safari," the second part of the fifth episode of the Disney+ animated series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures's first season,[1] which released on May 4, 2023.[3]

The Season Two episodes "The Great Gomgourd Quest" and "The Missing Life Day Feast" take place one year after the Season One episodes "The Harvest Feast" and "Life Day," placing those episodes in 233 BBY.
