"Who…who was that?"
"My Father."
"Father? Cibaba, your father died a long time ago. And I'm pretty sure he wasn't an Ithorian."
"Baron Boolan is my Father. I became his Child the day he remade me. A Child of the Storm."
―Ty Yorrick and Cibaba[2]

A male individual lived during the High Republic Era. At some point, he became the father of Cibaba, a Force-sensitive Azumel.[2] Long before around 228 BBY, Cibaba's father had passed away.[1] By 241 BBY,[3] Cibaba had been a[2] Jedi Master[3] of the Jedi Order before later joining Nihil Baron Boolan's Jedi hunting Children of the Storm. While serving the Nihil, Cibaba took to calling Boolan his Father as the Ithorian had "remade" him.[2]

Around 228 BBY,[1] Cibaba was confronted by his former Jedi Padawan, Ty Yorrick, on[2] the planet[4] Abtin. Yorrick looked into the Azumel's thoughts and saw him being operated on by an Ithorian. When she asked who she had seen, Cibaba told Yorrick that it was his Father, which she countered by stating his father was long dead and she was sure he had not been an Ithorian. Cibaba then reaffirmed that Boolan was his Father and that he had become his Child when the baron had "remade" him.[2]

Behind the scenes

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 Per the reasoning here, the events of The High Republic: Temptation of the Force, which take place at least one year and a few months after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, must take place in 228 BBY. The events of The High Republic Adventures – Saber for Hire 4 take place not long after the events of Temptation of the Force. As Saber for Hire 4 establishes that Cibaba's father had died long before its events, he must have passed away by that around year.
