Chromite was a blue-white ore commonly found on worlds including New Brigia and Allyuen. It was used in the construction of droid plating.
Description
Chromite was a carbonate ore[3] that was blue-white in color.[2]
History
Chromite was used as a material for droid plating; 3D-4X administrative droids were covered with chromite plating that was buffed and polished to shine. JV-Z1/D butler droids were plated with silver chromite.[4] The planet New Brigia mined chromite ore,[2] with Galantos importing a large portion of it.[5] The planet Allyuen was supported by a barely profitable chromite mine.[1]
