Allyuen was a remote mining world in the Allyuen system, located in the Greater Javin of the Outer Rim Territories.
Description
Allyuen was a subzero temperature planet. It was one of the four Mining Worlds of the Anoat sector, along with Burnin Konn, and Tokmia,[4][2] controlled by the Figg conglomerate.[2] The planet possessed chromite resources but the mining operations on Allyuen were barely profitable.[4][2]
History
During the Galactic Civil War, the Empire suspected that the Alliance to Restore the Republic might be based on the world after the Battle of Yavin. The Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Stalker, attached to Darth Vader's Death Squadron, dispatched a Viper probe droid to Allyuen in 3 ABY to search for the hidden Rebel base.[3]
Behind the scenes
The planet Allyuen was first mentioned in the published script of The Empire Strikes Back radio drama. Captain Needa mentions it as one of the destinations for his ship's probe droids.[5] That portion of the scene was cut from the final version of the radio drama,[6] but after the script's publication, other Legends sources began to make mention of the planet.[3]
The PC game Star Wars: Rebellion mistakenly places Allyuen in the Churba sector, which is actually located in the Mid Rim.
