Chick peas was an edible soup-like dish found on the desert planet Golak.[1]
Behind the scenes
This dish made its first appearance in the Star Wars: Visions Volume 2 episode "The Bandits of Golak", written and directed by Ishan Shukla, and produced by 88 Pictures.[1] It was designed by both TG Satheesh and Aajjay Mahajan.[2]
In an interview with IGN India, 88 Pictures Founder and CEO, Milind D. Shinde referred to this chickpea-based dish by one of its real-life names, chole, stating their goal with the food in the episode was to more closely imitate Bollywood as opposed Hollywood, avoiding depicting stereotypical food like Samosas, and instead choosing to include foods such as chole (also known as chana masala), as well as panipuri and jalebi.[3]
