Chall in its crystalized form.
Chall granules,[1] also called crystalized chall,[2] were a yellow powdered form of poison. Bib Fortuna, Jabba the Hutt's majordomo and chief of staff, was known to carry chall granules and other poisons with his Twi'lek dagger.[1] It was considered more toxic than krayt dragon venom.[2]
Behind the scenes
In Star Wars Legends, chall granules were first pictured in Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary, a reference book for the original trilogy written by David West Reynolds and published by Dorling Kindersley in 1998.[3] The poison became canon when it was pictured in Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia, which was written by Adam Bray, Tricia Barr and Cole Horton[2] and released on April 4, 2017.[4] Chall granules were later given their Legends name when they were shown in Star Wars: The Complete Visual Dictionary, New Edition, compiled all of the previous Visual Dictionary reference books.[1]
