A centrifuge,[2] also known as a centrifuge machine,[4] was a type of machine used to separate liquid.[2]
History
The XJ-6 airspeeder was equipped with afterburner centrifuges that channeled air streams through them.[5]
The Klegger Corp Mining Facility processed liquid ores in the form of lava, by pouring them into large tanks and then sending them to a multi-level centrifuge for separation. The centrifuge would concentrate and extract metals from the lava, which was sourced via extraction technology, and manually from mining droids and Mustafarian workers. However, each source was treated separately.[2]
As part of her job at Tantiss Base's Advanced Science Division, Nala Se operated a centrifuge machine that spun containers containing blood samples.[1]
Nova Blaster, an alcoholic drink served at Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina, was made from a combination of Corellian brandy and Ipellria firewater mixed together in a centrifuge.[3]
