- "CeSai did really well under the Empire. Then the New Republic kicked the Empire out, and there was no one left to run the planet. Everything fell apart."
- ―Maize Raynshi
CeSai was a planet[3] located in the Illisurevimurasi sector's CeSai system. It specifically lay in the Standard Galactic Grid space Q-4 of the Outer Rim Territories,[1] which was also a part of the New Territories.[2] At one point, CeSai was controlled by the Galactic Empire and benefitted from the Imperial presence. However, after the Empire was forced out by the New Republic, CeSai was left without leadership, and the planet fell into disarray. The wealthy Raynshi family called CeSai home for some time during the New Republic Era until Vroc Raynshi, an officer of the First Order, moved the family to the planet Merokia[3] in 32 ABY[4] on account of his job. Due to the move, Maize Raynshi, the half-Mirialan, half-human hybrid daughter of Vroc and Anaya Raynshi, was forced to leave her friends from CeSai behind, leaving her lonely and upset.[3]
