"Calys organized a local insurgency, and she managed to recruit Asara after making contact with a field agent from the Rebel Alliance."
―ISB report on Asara Deyn[1]

A rebel cell organized on the Outer Rim jungle planet Akiva by a local named Calys during the reign of the Galactic Empire. As the cell grew, Calys's Twi'lek brother Asara Deyn began helping the cell by spying on Imperial patrols. After making contact with a representative from the Alliance to Restore the Republic Calys decided that she wanted to leave Akiva and join the Rebel Alliance. Months after leaving, Calys died during the Battle of Scarif[1] in 1 BBY.[2] By 3 ABY,[3] the Imperial Security Bureau had compiled a report on Asara in which it noted Calys's organization of the rebel cell and her later death.[1]
