- "Get yourself a drink, if you'd like. The droid can fix anything you can name."
- ―Moff Ghadi allows Arihnda Pryce to get a drink from a C5 bartender droid
The C5 bartender droid was a model of bartender droid manufactured by LeisureMech Enterprises,[1] being one of the company's only notable products alongside the BD-3000 luxury droid and RH-series CardShark droid.[3] C5s possessed two limbs and two white photoreceptors. The droids' plating was white.[2]
By the time of the Galactic Empire's reign, the model was regarded as a classic. Several suites at the Alisandre Hotel on the planet Coruscant featured restored C5 units, including the suite of Imperial Moff Ghadi.[1] Circa 13 BBY,[4] Ghadi allowed Arihnda Pryce, aide to Lothalite Senator Domus Renking, to get a drink from a C5 when she visited his suite.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the C5 bartender droid appeared in the 2017 novel Thrawn, authored by Timothy Zahn as the first installment of the Star Wars: Thrawn trilogy.[1] It was pictured the third issue of the comic adaptation of Thrawn. The issue was written by Jody Houser, illustrated by Luke Ross, and released on April 11, 2018.[5] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the droid was mentioned in the short story "A Bad Feeling: The Tale of EV-9D9," authored by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens in 1995 as part of the Tales from Jabba's Palace anthology.[6]

- ↑ Per the novel Thrawn, Arihnda Pryce encountered a C5 bartender droid at the Alisandre Hotel shortly after she also met Thrawn there. Thrawn establishes that the pair met there approximately two years prior to Thrawn's promotion to commodore, which occurs nearly four years after the start of the novel. As noted here, the novel begins around 15 BBY. Therefore, Thrawn's promotion to commodore comes around 11 BBY, thereby placing Thrawn and Pryce's meeting to circa 13 BBY.
