Byss was a binary star with Abyss in the Byss and Abyss system of the Outer Rim. The planet Byss[3] orbited these stars in a unique figure-eight pattern.
The planet Byss had a hot and arid climate with unbearable temperatures that reached their apex when it passed between its two suns.
