Brain slugs[1] or brain-slugs,[2] were a species of slugs that hailed from Nusa Sept V. They had mouths and tongues, but lacked eyes.[1] The commonly used phrase "like stealing slime from a brain-slug" meant that something was very easy.[3]

Behind the scenes

The brain slugs were mentioned in the 2015 young readers novel Return of the Jedi: Beware the Power of the Dark Side!—a retelling of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi—written by Tom Angleberger.[1]
