Brain crawlers were a type of parasitic worm whose homeworld was Cheelit[1] in the Mid Rim.[2] They could infest the brains of members of the domesticated happabore species, which could be found on planets throughout the Western Reaches. The instruction manual for the slurry formulation of Galacti-Stok's Happy-Bore Medicated Dewormer—a product containing Trestibinexocycline 5-Gamma, thlank oil, greel-root acid, and forage products—recommended that the dewormer not be used to treat brain crawler infestations. The scavenger Rey found a copy of the instructions while living on the desert planet Jakku and included them in a survival guide that[1] she[3] had compiled[1] by 34 ABY.[4]
Behind the scenes
Brain crawlers were mentioned in Rey's Survival Guide, a 2015 replica journal written by Jason Fry.[1]
