- "Nix Jerd ‒ that's our bombardier."
- ―Paige Tico
A bombardier was an individual who attended to the bombs release trigger of a MG-100 StarFortress SF-17. Nix Jerd served as the bombardier of the Resistance bomber Cobalt Hammer[2] whilst Edon Kappehl served as the bombardier aboard Crimson Hailstorm.[4]
The Galactic Empire's TIE/sk x1 experimental air superiority fighter was armed with ArmaTek VL-61/79 proton bombs, deployed from a proton bomb chute attached to the starfighter's armored hull, and was optionally manned by a bombardier/gunner.[3]
