ArmaTek was a manufacturing company that produced VL-61/79 proton bombs for the Galactic Empire's TIE/sk x1 experimental air superiority fighters.[3] ArmaTek also produced the SJ-91 orbital mines used by the Empire to maintain its rule in locations it did not often patrol, with some of those ArmaTek minefields continuing to exist long after the Empire's fall. ArmaTek mines were in possession of Thrawn's forces during their exile on the extragalactic planet Peridea.[2]
