Blumfruit was a type of fruit that could bruise. The alien Takvax claimed to bruise like a blumfruit when begging not to be hurt by the Wookiee Chewbacca on the planet Rion[1] shortly after the Battle of Yavin that occurred in 0 ABY.[2]

Behind the scenes

Blumfruit was mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the comic "Swoop Racers" which was written by Cavan Scott and published in Star Wars Adventures (2017) 21[1] on May 8, 2019.[3] The fruit originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in "Wicket's Wagon," an episode of the Ewoks television series[4] that aired on November 9, 1985.[5]
