Blue milkshake was a thick and creamy beverage made from[1] frozen[2] blue milk and included ice cream and flavored syrups.[1] A high-calorie concoction, it had a cooling effect,[2] and was served at Dex's Diner on[1] the Core Worlds planet[3] Coruscant, where it was mixed by robo-appendages and cost 2.7 credits per unit.[1]
In 44 ABY, the Human Allana Solo enjoyed sipping the milkshake while dining in the city Varlo's Riverview Café[2] on the Outer Rim[3] world Roonadan. To her embarrassment, she slurped the cool concoction through her straw, and she made sure to say "excuse me" as she was in the presence of her grandparents Han and Leia Organa Solo. Leia was dismayed that Allana was already finishing her drink, chiding that the milkshake had "enough calories to feed a Hutt for two days" and further commenting that the family should strand the young girl somewhere with only a supply of blue milkshake for sustenance, which prompted Allana to giggle.[2]
Behind the scenes
Blue milkshake was first mentioned in Dining at Dex's, a feature exclusive to the Hyperspace club members on StarWars.com.[1] It appeared in the 2011 novel Fate of the Jedi: Ascension, though spelled as "blue milk shake."[2]
