Blood spite

Blood spites were bat-like creatures that fed on warm blood and inhabited the Old City on the planet Tython, deep in the Red Desert. Their existence was widely considered to be only a rumor by the Je'daii, though they were very much real as Lanoree Brock would discover as she entered the city in pursuit of her brother, Dalien.

Biology and appearance

Blood spites had dripping teeth, long and thin tendrils that were easy to break, and flew using feathery wings that made no noise. Most aspects of its body were light and airy, except for its hard teeth, which produced sap.^[1]
