Clone Commander Blitz was an Advanced Recon Commando in Rancor Battalion, part of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He, along with fellow ARC Commanders Colt, Hammer, and Havoc oversaw clone trooper training during the war.

Biography

Blitz,^[6] like all clones, was created on the aquatic planet of Kamino from the DNA of the late bounty hunter Jango Fett.^[1] During the Clone Wars, he served as an ARC trooper with the military rank of Clone Commander and was placed in Rancor Battalion. During the Clone Wars, he oversaw clone trooper training with ARC Commanders Colt, Havoc, and Hammer on Kamino.^[4] At some point, Blitz journeyed into a forest with Colt, Havoc, and another ARC trooper. During that mission, Blitz prepared to take out a group of B2-series super battle droids with the others ARC troopers in an ambush.^[7]

In 22 BBY,^[8] Blitz joined Colt, Hammer, and Havoc in overseeing the final training stages of several clone cadet squads, including Domino Squad.^[4] Later, Blitz participated in the Battle of Kamino^[5] in 21 BBY.^[8] As Separatist Trident drills attacked, Blitz led three Advanced Recon Force troopers to destroy them, directing the troopers to fire a rocket at one of the drill ships. Of those ARC troopers who took part in the battle, Colt and Havoc were both killed.^[5]

Personality and traits

As a human clone of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, Blitz stood at a height of 1.83 meters^[1] and weighed eighty kilograms.^[2]

Skills and abilities

Blitz was a Clone ARC Commander who served as an ARC Trooper in the Rancor Battalion.^[4] and led ARF troopers into battle.^[5] As an ARC Trooper, Blitz was trained in armed and unarmed combat as well as military tactics, survival, reconnaissance and infiltrations.^[9]

Equipment

Blitz wore Phase I ARC Trooper Armor with yellow markings, a white kama with black diamonds embroidered on its design, and a yellow dual pauldron. Blitz also had a yellow rangefinder on his helmet and a life support backpack. Blitz's helmet had a yellow stripe running downward on the left side, that followed through his breast plate.^[4] Blitz also had ammunition cartridges on top of his chest plates.^[10]

Behind the scenes

Blitz first appeared in the episode "Clone Cadets," albeit unidentified.^[4] He was first identified in the new Star Wars canon, on the card Clone ARC Commander Blitz, released as part of the Rank & File set on the Star Wars: Card Trader app in 2018.^[6] In the Legends continuity, he was first identified by the Star Wars: The Clone Wars toy line set Defend Kamino.^[11]
