Blackbolt was a droid pirate captain who operated on the starship Terror of Tenoo during the High Republic Era, plundering the planet Tenoo, including Kaliah Kublop's staff. However, he eventually vanished; the Terror crashed on an asteroid near the planet and both Blackbolt and his vessel were left deactivated. The pilot Nash Durango, unaware Blackbolt was a droid, accidentally reactivated him when she discovered his lost starship. After being sent through hyperspace to the far reaches of the galaxy,[1] Blackbolt would later return to Tenoo with his crew in search for Tanglevine Base.[2]
Blackbolt wielded a red[1] electrosword.[3] that made his body spark with red electricity when in use.[1] The captain had a fear of tanglevine snakes.[2] Whenever he sparked red he would get a boost in strength, he also fought Jedi in the past including Jedi Master Staas. Rage and death would come to anyone who called him "rusty."
