Bioelectricity was a unique feature of Parwan biology. It allowed Parwans to produce intense electrical fields, which caused them to crackle with energy. Some aggressive members of this species, such as the bounty hunter Derrown, could use their biology as a weapon in the form of bio-electric shocks.[1]
The bio-cocoon manufactured by Dendratis Biological Exports, Incorporated was coated with a layer of dormant microorganisms, that fed off bio-electricity. When a creature stood on one of the fibers, a remote control would trigger other organisms that activated the microorganisms. They fed off the target's bio-electricity, swarming over the creature and creating a porous biological cocoon.[2]
