The Betthanie system was located in the Wornal sector of the Mid Rim[1] and Trailing Sectors.[2] It was situated in grid square K-16 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
The system was known to[3] the Alderaanian[4] Princess Leia Organa as where imitations of luxury furniture could be found.[3] In 3 ABY,[5] while Organa was staying in an apartment in Cloud City—a mining colony on[3] the Outer Rim gas giant[4] Bespin—she mentally noted that its furniture had been made to look expensive, but in reality had likely been mass-produced on some moon in the Betthanie system.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Betthanie system was first mentioned in The Empire Strikes Back: So You Want to Be a Jedi?, a 2015 young-readers book written by Adam Gidwitz that retells the events of[3] the 1980 film[6] Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back.[3]
