Berken's Flow was a region on the planet Mustafar. Located east to the Burning Plains and the Tulrus Nesting Grounds, it had been built up over multiple generations of massive lava flows.[2] The region was named after the Mustafarian explorer Jesl Berken[5] who discovered rich mineral deposits located in this dangerous area[2] long before the time of the Galactic Civil War.[1] The establishment of Mustafar as a mining world and the wealth of the planet started with the discovery of Berken's Flow[5] as the region was for some times the richest source of natural resources in the galaxy.[1] However, years of over mining and major planetary shifts had left the region limited in resources.[1] With most of its minerals extracted, only small mining operations took place in Berken's Flow during the Galactic Civil War.[5]

Behind the scenes

Berken's Flow appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[7] Berken's Flow was added to the game with the release of the expansion pack Trials of Obi-Wan on November 1, 2005.[1]
