Belka Poiryn was a Pau'an Jedi Master who lived during the High Republic Era. She was known for having a deep connection to the Force and was particularly skilled at meditation. According to Jedi Knight Reath Silas, some Jedi believed she had spent so much time in meditation that it slowed her aging; while Silas did not believe this, he noted she was much more long-lived than most Pau'ans.[1]
During the mission to the planet Kashyyyk in 228 BBY,[2] Poiryn was part of the meditation team working to hold back the blight. She, along with the rest of the meditation team, traveled to Kashyyyk ahead of the Kashyyyk team in order to slow the blight as much as possible. When Silas and his team arrived, she identified him as the team's leader and warned him about a source of darkness on the planet, though she could not identify it. After the Thornseed was destroyed, Poiryn described to Silas how she felt a celebration in the Force, caused by a grove of white wroshyr trees, which completely healed the damage caused by the blight.[1]
