Belanti was a company that manufactured repulsorlift engines. Its engines did not produce a shimmer between the vehicle using the engine and the planetary surface it was pushing against, as was the case with some short-range repulsorlift engines.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Belanti was mentioned in the article "Repulsorlifts," which was published in the "Secrets of Spaceflight" department of the thirty-eighth issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine[1] around September 23, 2015.[2] The company originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in The Star Wars Sourcebook, a 1987 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Bill Slavicsek and Curtis Smith and published by West End Games.[3]
