- ―Janott to Padmé Amidala
Batuu Brew was a type of beverage consumable by humans that shared its name with the Outer Rim planet Batuu. During the time of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, a cantina in Batuu's Black Spire Outpost settlement served the drink.[1] In 19 BBY,[2] the cantina's bartender, Janott, offered Batuu Brew and other beverage selections to the human Senator Padmé Amidala when she visited the establishment, though she ultimately chose a different beverage.[1]
Behind the scenes
Batuu Brew was mentioned in the second storyline of the 2018 novel Thrawn: Alliances, the second installment in the Star Wars: Thrawn novel series written by Timothy Zahn.[1]
