Battlegroup Echelon was a battle group within the naval forces of the Galactic Empire.[1] By 4 ABY,[2] Battlegroup Echelon participated in the Skirmish at Merisee[1] in the Elrood sector[3] where the formation's flagship, led by their admiral, was captured and their supply lines cut. Despite the situation, the group's forces regrouped and pushed back the rebels, made repairs in enemy territory, and launched a rescue. When the unit returned, they defeated the rebel forces and emerged victorious.[1]
That year,[2] Imperial Titan Squadron pilot Rella Sol recounted Battlegroup Echelon's efforts at the skirmish to fellow pilot Titan Three in a hangar after their vessel, the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Overseer, was heavily damaged in an ambush at the Zavian Abyss against the New Republic's prototype Starhawk battleship.[1]
