Sometime between 22 BBY and 19 BBY,[2] during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Alliance, a battle occurred on the planet Neimoidia. As a result of the planet's blitzing by the Republic, the native Neimoidian species' grub hatcheries were left devastated and the Neimoidian's continued operations on the world were at risk.[1]
Behind the scenes
The battle on Neimoidia was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the fifty-second issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[1] in an article written by Mark Newbold,[3] which was published around December 30, 2015.[4] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the battle of Neimoidia was first indirectly mentioned in Labyrinth of Evil, a 2005 novel authored by James Luceno.[5]
