A bass vye was a type of musical instrument. In the cockpit of her A/SF-01 B-wing starfighter, the Theelin pilot Chass na Chadic sometimes listened to a song about agony and revolution played on bass vye and synthtone with singing by a Herglic.[1]
Behind the scenes
A bass vye first appeared in the current Star Wars canon in 2019 novel Alphabet Squadron, which was written by Alexander Freed.[1] The instrument originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it appeared in the short story "Rebel Bass," which was written by Kathy Tyers and published in Star Wars Gamer 6 in 2001.[2]
