Bareen was a terrestrial astronomical object that housed a distillery during the New Republic Era.[1] Between around 31 ABY and 34 ABY,[2] as the human racing team owners[1] Lando Calrissian[3] and Han Solo shared a glass of ale on[1] the Mid Rim[3] planet Malastare, Calrissian praised the quality of the drink, wondering if it was from the distillery on Bareen.[1]

Behind the scenes

Bareen was mentioned in the first issue of the 2025 comic miniseries Star Wars: Han Solo - Hunt for the Falcon. The issue was written by Rodney Barnes and published by Marvel Comics[1] on September 3, 2025.[4]
