Baradas was a terrestrial astronomical object[2] located in the Baradas system of the Colonies.[1] During the Galactic Civil War between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, the rebel pilot and squadron commander[3] Nath Tensent experienced a bad landing on Baradas in his first Y-wing starfighter[2] sometime after his defection to the Alliance from the Empire[3] around 0 BBY.[4] The incident resulted in the starfighter's underside and one of its nacelles being torn off, the remains of the Y-wing being irreparable.[2]
Behind the scenes
Baradas was mentioned in Victory's Price: An Alphabet Squadron Novel, the final novel in Alexander Freed's Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron trilogy which was published in 2021.[2] In Star Wars Legends continuity, the similarly named Baradas II was first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 10: Bounty Hunters, a supplement to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game which was written by Rick D. Stuart and released in 1994.[5]
