For other uses, see Bantu.

The Bantu system was a part of the Core Worlds'[1] Emmo sector.[2] It was the origin point of the phenomenon known as the rainbow sunsets of Bantu.[3][4]

Behind the scenes

The Bantu system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square M-12.[1]

The Essential Atlas and Galactic Cartography: Official Discussion (post by jasonfry) on the Jedi Council Forums' Literature board (December 11, 2007): "I wouldn't get your hopes up re alien homeworlds, beyond simple stuff like the Planetnamian species getting a Planetnamia on the map or things Dan and I can account for with a relatively quick reference." (backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the rainbow sunsets of Bantu in relation to the Bantu system.
