"[Ebenn Q3 Baobab] began his new life as a cabin boy on a Baobab caravel. Writing daily in his life journal, EQ3 wrestled with innate melancholia by musing on the rainbow sunsets of Bantu, the skies of Roon darkened by great mynock migrations, and the innocent and joyful babble of baby Rodians in the Kibanyas on Tatooine."

The rainbow sunsets of Bantu were a weather phenomenon[1] that originated[2] in the Core Worlds' Bantu system.[3] As described by the publisher in the 6 ABY edition of the author Ebenn Q3 Baobab's book the Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide, the ten-years-old Baobab began his travels across the galaxy[1] at some point by 32 BBY[4] as a cabin boy aboard a Baobab Merchant Fleet caravel. During that time, Baobab kept a life journal in which he wrote daily, and one of the subjects covered in the journal was Baobab's musings on the rainbow sunsets of Bantu, which involved him dealing with feelings of melancholia.[1]

Behind the scenes

The rainbow sunsets of Bantu were introduced in the 2001 book Galactic Phrase Book & Travel Guide, authored by Ben Burtt.[1]
