Bantha dung was an insult, used to refer to something[2] or someone worthy of contempt.[3] It literally referred to a bantha's feces,[4] which was also known as bantha droppings, with "pile of bantha droppings" being employed metaphorically with the same implications, such as "you steaming pile of bantha droppings"[5] or "this is a big pile of bantha droppings."[6]
The phrase "piece/smear of bantha dung" was a way of showing contempt toward someone.[3][7] The word could also mean worthless, e.g. "Your words ain't bantha dung right now."[8] The saying "a burr seed in bantha dung" was used to describe something that was hard to find.[9]
