- "There's a large-scale civil war on Balith. They've requested our assistance. Anakin, you will leave immediately to command the Third Legion."
- ―Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi
By 21 BBY,[2] a civil war had erupted on[1] the Inner Rim[3] planet[4] Balith in the midst of the Clone Wars,[1] which transformed the planet into a war-torn world.[5] When the Galactic Republic's assistance in the large-scale conflict was requested, Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, Clone Captain Rex[1] and the clone trooper unit Torrent Company[5] were dispatched by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi to Balith to command the Grand Army of the Republic's Third Legion.[1]
Behind the scenes
The civil war was first mentioned in "Assassin,"[1] the seventh episode of the third season of the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which aired on October 22, 2010.[6]
