BE-29 blaster rifle

The BE-29 blaster rifle was a blaster rifle with a black barrel, a black scope, a black trigger, and a brown, petrified rochiawood shoulder stock.^[1] The moisture farmer Beru Whitesun Lars owned^[2] a sawed off BE-29 blaster rifle^[1] that acted as a shotgun blaster^[3] that she kept hidden behind a false pipe in the homestead she lived in with her husband Owen Lars and their adopted son, Luke Skywalker.^[2]

In 9 BBY,^[4] she retrieved the blaster and threw it to a surprised Owen after he informed her that the former Inquisitor Reva Sevander was one her way to the homestead in search of Skywalker. Owen then used the BE-29 to shoot at Sevander from cover once she entered the homestead, but she deflected the bolts with her lightsaber and eventually caused Owen to drop the gun by hurling a piece of equipment at him.^[2]

Behind the scenes

A BE-29 blaster rifle appeared in "Part VI,"^[2] the final episode of the Disney+ television series Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, which was released on June 22, 2022.^[5] The weapon was then identified in the 2023 reference book Star Wars: Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo and Emily Shkoukani.^[1]
