B3 battle droids were battle droids manufactured by Baktoid Combat Automata[1] and used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars.[2] B2-series super battle droids and B3 battle droids were favored over the expensive and complex E522 assassin droids.[1] At one point, at least one was stationed near a listening station on the planet Vanqor. A curved piece of metal used in B3 repair was uncovered by Quinlan Vos when he and a Republic strike team attacked the listening post.[2] The B3 battle droid was also mentioned in an intelligence report by[3] Corporal[4] WAC-47 describing E522 assassin droids, which was included in the survival compendium "Neyo's Almanac of Clankers."[3]
Temmin Wexley also found parts of a B3 while trying to sneak into the Satrap's Palace on Akiva.[5]
