In order to camouflage the handoff played a game of Sabacc with Avrar during which he lost his lucky shift token, which in reality was a disguised datacard. Calrissian later hired a gambler named Kay Vess to win back his Shift Token and bring it back to him. When Vess arrived at the cardroom on Kijimi, she offered to play Avrar for the token. Avrar accepted but insisted that they play house rules. After Vess won the game, Avrar told Vess to inform Calrissian that he was always welcome at the table when he was willing to lose his cape before handing Lando's token along with three other shift tokens, Major Fraud, Immunity and Exhaustion.[1]
