"I was kidnapped by a local group who wanted my mother to agitate for stronger trade controls in the Senate."
"You were kidnapped? That's terrible."
"Yeah, it wasn't great. My uncles found me and killed the people who had taken me, but my mother was upset when she found out."
―Avon Starros and Honesty Weft[1]

At least two male members of the Starros Clan were the uncles of the human girl Avon Starros.[1] By 235 BBY,[2] Starros was kidnapped by a local group on[1] the Core Worlds planet[3] Hosnian Prime, but was eventually found by her uncles, who then killed those that had taken their niece.[1] In 232 BBY,[2] while on the Outer Rim moon Wevo, Starros told the Dalnan boy Honesty Weft about the time she had been captured, and of her uncles' actions in finding her and then killing her kidnappers.[1]

Behind the scenes

Avon Starros' uncles were mentioned in the 2021 junior novel The High Republic: A Test of Courage, written by Justina Ireland and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase I.[4]

  2. 2.0 2.1 Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of The High Republic: A Test of Courage to 232 BBY. A Test of Courage establishes that J-6 was given to Avon Starros three years before its events, and that Starros was given J-6 after the kidnapping. Therefore, the kidnapping must have taken place by 235 BBY.
