"Aces, our ships can outmaneuver these Guavian clunkers. Let's use the asteroids to our advantage and take them down."
Kazuda Xiono, to Ace Squadron[2]

The Avandor-class fighter/transport, also known as the Guavian Ship, was a model of starship that was used by the Guavian Death Gang during the war between the First Order and the Resistance.

Characteristics

The Avandor-class fighter/transport was a sleek and menacing starship that functioned as a scout ship and fighter. The Guavians painted their ships bright red. Despite its sleek design, it could still adeptly hide in the safety of an asteroid field, lurking in the shadows to survey oncoming threats. Then, long before they were spotted, a swarm of ships could launch a fierce attack against a much larger opponent.[4]

History

One Avandor-class vessel was present within[6] the Outer Rim Territories shadowport[7] Borgo Prime[6] around 9 ABY.[8]

A squad of Guavian security soldiers accompanied Bala-Tik when he and members of Kanjiklub boarded Han Solo's Baleen-class heavy freighter, the Eravana.[3]

A contingent of Guavian starships fought in a skirmish in Guavian Death Space after the Colossus intruded on their territory, though most were destroyed due to the Ace Squadron using the asteroids to help maneuver around them.[2]

In 35 ABY,[9] Guavian starships were part of a fleet assembled by Lando Calrissian to assist the Resistance during the battle against the Sith Eternal forces over the planet Exegol.[5]

  8. Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian" of The Mandalorian Season One to 9 ABY. In addition, SWInsider "A Certain Point of View" — Star Wars Insider 228 also dates "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" to nine years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 9 ABY per Timelines. "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" takes place after the conflict on Mandalore, which is the main event depicted in "Chapter 23: The Spies" and "Chapter 24: The Return," the final two episodes of The Mandalorian Season Three. Therefore, Seasons One through Three of Star Wars: The Mandalorian must all be set in 9 ABY as well. As StarWars.com SWCA 2022: 20 Highlights from Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase on StarWars.com (backup link) states that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is set in the same time period as The Mandalorian, it must therefore also be set around 9 ABY.
  9. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary dates the events of Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker to one year after the events of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. As Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the events of The Force Awakens to 34 ABY, the events of The Rise of Skywalker must occur in 35 ABY.
