- "But what of the attacks on Quantxi and Salissia? Remnants or not, they still pose a threat."
- ―Vaadu, in a Senate meeting
Following the Battle of Kur, the Nihil pirate organization attacked Salissia[1]—an Outer Rim celestial body[3]—at some point between 232 and 231 BBY. In 231 BBY,[2] Republic Senator Vaadu attended a Senate meeting concerning the upcoming Republic Fair on the Outer Rim planet Valo. He argued that the attack on Salissia was proof that the Nihil still posed a threat to the Republic Fair but was assured by Jedi Master Avar Kriss and the event's coordinator, Samera Ra-oon, that enough security would be present at the event to ensure its safety. Republic Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh agreed with their assessment, continuing the meeting despite Vaadu's concerns.[1]
Behind the scenes
The attack on Salissia was mentioned in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[4]
