Attack cruiser

An attack cruiser was a class of cruiser that was used by the Imperial Navy. Attack cruisers were regarded as a step down from Star Destroyers. Due to the attritional losses of the Galactic Empire's Star Destroyers following the Battle of Jakku, the remnants of the Imperial Navy were forced to rely on attack cruisers like the Garrote.^[1] Venator-class Star Destroyers were classified as attack cruisers.^[2]
