The Atriik were a sentient species known to exist during the time of the Clone Wars. Members of the species possessed horns on the sides of their heads and mottled skin.[1]
One Atriik was Mother Tunenep, a follower of the Path of the Open Hand. She lived to be more than 150 years old, an advanced age even for the Atriik.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Atriik appeared in "Galactic Tales: The Failing of the Light," a short story by Adam Lance Garcia that was published in issue 233 of Star Wars Insider magazine[1] on August 19, 2025.[2] According to Garcia, he deliberately avoided describing the species in detail, to allow for other creators in the future to expand upon it.[3]
