The Asutvu Rift was an underwater settlement located near the Invasion Zone on the planet Manaan.[1] By 3625 BBY,[2] the Rift had become the site for the Selkath Isolationists, specifically within the Temple of the Progenitor. Following the invasion of Manaan by the reconstituted Sith Empire, the Krallet Division was sent to the Rift but was ambushed by the Alliance Commander, who had been sent by Wo Kasto of the Manaan Special Warfare Group.[1]

The Asutvu Rift first appeared in the daily area for Manaan introduced in Game Update 7.1: Digging Deeper, released on August 2, 2022, as part of Star Wars: The Old Republic: Legacy of the Sith,[3] the eighth digital expansion to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars: The Old Republic released by BioWare in 2011.[4]
